Our annual BBQ and Top Gun Competition |

An annual event for club members,
their families, and neighbors of our field. A day of fun, flying, and
food! Plenty of corn - and other food our President chooses - all provided
by club.
Also - our annual Top Gun competition is held. Club members choosing to
try for this title have 3 minutes to "impress" the other pilots and earn the
right to wear their own Top Gun hat and have their name added to the Top
Gun trophy.

The 2008 Corn Roast and Top Gun is scheduled for Sunday, August 24, 2008

2004 Top Gun winner was Joe Hass.
2003 Top Gun winner was Dan Devine.
2002 Top Gun winner was Gene Payson flying his 42% airplane. Very impressive!

2001 had both a Top Gun and Slo Gun event.
The rules were similar - the difference being Slo Gun had to fly a Great Planes
.25 size Slow Poke... The winner was similar as well - as VP Gary Weaks
took both honors - flying his 'Ford Fliver' Slow Poke in Slo Gun, and an Astro
Hog in Top Gun.
2000 was the first year with both a Top Gun and Slo Gun competition.
Joe Finklestine took Top Gun honors flying his Troy Built One Design.
Jim Held took Slo Gun honors with his customized Slow Poke.
