There are two types of memberships:

• Family: One or more adult members and any children residing at same address.
• Junior: A child/teenager (under 19) joining without an adult member.
  (Junior members under 18 must have consent of a parent or guardian)

Prospective members must attend a Skymasters meeting to be eligible to join the club.  Exceptions to this requirement due to work schedules, etc can be brought to the Board of Directors for consideration.

While anyone apply for membership in our Club; in order to fly (and receive a Student or Pilot membership card), you must be a member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). AMA is the national organization with which our club is chartered. As part of your membership, AMA provides you, the Club, and our landowner with liability insurance.

Prospective members must be voted into the Club as a member in good standing at the next meeting. 

Please see our Membership Director for the details concerning financial obligations for membership. Membership is based on a calendar year. Family memberships are $70.00 per year dues, plus a $30.00 initiation fee for new members or late renewals (on or after 03-01). Junior memberships are $0 per year dues. Dues are reduced after August 1 of each year.

Our flying field is located within the Bald Mountain Recreation Area - a Michigan State Park.  Cars at the field are required to display a Recreation Passport - now purchased with your vehicle registration. (2010 park stickers are valid until your next registration renewal after 10/1/2010.) Contact the park office on Greenshield Roadfor more information.
