Welcome To Skymasters!

 

We are a RC aircraft club based in Orion Township Michigan.  Our field is located on Scripps Rd. in Bald Mt. Rec Area.  MAP TO FIELD 

Membership in the Academy of Model Aeronautics is required to fly at the field in addition to Skymasters Membership. Dues are $80/year with no initiation fee. All youth members under the age of 18 are free.

We allow all types of aircraft (airplanes, drones, multi rotor, helicopters) and power systems (electric, glow, gasoline, turbine, CO2,..) with a noise limit of 94 dB measured 10 feet from the aircraft.  Field hours are 8 AM to 10PM for quiet electric aircraft while engines meeting the 94 Db noise limit may fly rom 10 am TO 8 pm.  The main East-West 450 foot grass runway north of the parking area supports both fixed wing airplanes and rotary wing flying. The smaller (heli/CL) field south of the parking lot supports control line airplanes and rotary wing aircraft only. NO FIXED WING RC AIRPLANES CAN BE FLOWN OFF THE HELI/CL AREA.
