Visit to PMAC’s Pacific Warbird Festival 2016
« on: June 12, 2016, 10:55:47 PM »
I had a great visit Saturday afternoon to the PMAC (Pontiac Miniature Aircraft Club) on White Lake Road for their Warbirds Airshow and it was a great day. With balmy tropical 90-degree weather and blustery ocean breezes the weather made the flying pretty exciting and I saw some amazing warbird landings that are usually pretty exciting all on their own without the high winds.
The day included pineapple and spam burgers and a Kona ice truck with flavored ice and the hula dancers really added to the whole experience. The airplanes were beautiful and made a great backdrop for the dancers. There were several Skymasters in attendance and it was great to see our PMAC friends and spend time at their field. The aircraft and flying was superb too! It was nice to see our local AMA associate VP Noel Hunt and VP Tim Jesky in the spirit of the event wearing their Hawaiian shirts and leis. Go PMAC!
