What a glorious day at Skymasters today. We had an excellent Helicopter Fly In today. The Michigan Whirlybirds Club and several other pilots and clubs added greatly to the fantastic flying and a great day. One highlight was the noon landing of a full-scale Customs and Border Protection A-Star 350 on our runway. The family, friends, visitors and everyone were then able to see this magnificent machine up close and get their picture in the pilots' seat. Thanks to Jeff from CBP, Selfridge our pilot and Skymaster member Ted Labbe who arranged for the full-scale helicopter landing. Thanks also to Uncle Pete's Pasties who brought over pasties for anyone who wanted one and thanks to Bill Dezur for providing our usual wonderful burgers and hotdogs for lunch. The whole club pitched in and put on a first class event today and it makes one proud to belong to such a great flying club. We had lots of visitors and friends stopping by throughout the day and I know everyone had a great day.
