A huge surprise was in store for those who attended our Skymasters Club Meeting last night. The meeting topic was on transmitters, receivers and setting up your radio. Joe Finkelstine did a brilliant job of educating us (His PowerPoint presentation should be up on the web site soon).
At the beginning of the meeting Skymaster Bill Pesch asked for a few minutes to address the membership. Bill shared with us how he had connected with Hobbico senior management and spent time sharing all about our club, our excellent student training program, large active membership and many other good things about our club. As a result of that, Bill began pulling items out of a box that Hobbico has donated to our club. In all we received 4 Tactic Transmitters, receivers and servos, a huge contribution to Skymasters from Art Pesch at Hobbico.
Bill said “yes” they are distantly related and because of that Bill (deservedly) received a gift himself of a Sensei ARF.
Ironically, the club Flight Instructors had met the prior night and discerned a need for the Tactic radios for buddy boxes and student instruction. Way to go Bill Pesch for advocating for Skymasters and securing the club a very generous contribution from Hobbico.
Watch the upcoming Skywriter Newsletter (May 1) for more pictures and an article.
Feel free to send a thank you to Art Pesch,
apesch@hobbico.com. A letter of thanks on behalf of the club will be going out soon. We also need to ensure we take photos of us using this equipment this summer and share that with Hobbico. What an epic event! Thanks Hobbico and Bill Pesch!
