One of the things that has impressed me about Skymasters from day one is the generosity of the club and its members.
From the many and various noble and worthy efforts we do each year as a club such as Trees for Troops, the Salvation Army Toy Drive and many other giving activities, to the many individual members who give a lot of their material resources and huge amounts of their time and talents we are a very generous group. This spirit was on display last week during Student Night following the potluck dinner.
Skymaster, Carl Bonkowski wanted to thin out his hanger give away some of his airplanes and other hobby related items. Wow, what a nice gesture and many members went home that night very happy with some very nice, practically new airplanes.
Aaron Karjala won a brand new Vision-Aire, Mariana Lopez a beautiful Ultra Stick with engine and Juan Lopez a new Sport Cub. Jim Satawa got a Radian Glider, John White an LT-40 kit, there was another LT-40 airframe and Jim Vigne took home an Avistar with and OS-46 like new on it. This is just some of the great items and airplanes given away. I heard Russ Oliver got a very nice racing quad from Carl too!
Carl said that he wanted to give them away in appreciation for how good the club has been to him and we appreciate Carl and thank him for his generosity. Carl appreciates being able to come out to the field and anyone who has taken the time to get to know him, knows what a great sense of humor and what a good man he is. He is a great Skymaster and gets a huge thumbs up from me. Thanks Carl!
