Congratulations to Skymasters Pilot, Steve Schott in winning the coveted Top Gun Trophy for 2016. Steve won with a score of 209 point and flew as one of eight pilots vying for the prestigious award. Top Gun 2015 Champion John “Salami” Billinger came in a close second place. Student Pilot Lucas Collins scored better than his buddy boxed instructor, Russ Oliver coming in 5th place. Thanks to all our pilots who flew in our competition this year!
We had a great crowd, but, smaller than past years and it was still a huge success. The corn from Scott’s Farm Market on Seymour Lake Road was the most delicious sweet corn ever. The ears were huge and corn roast master Kenny G. and grillers Pete and Marty made a delicious meal for the club participants. The weather was beautiful and the day was a huge success. Pictures of the Corn Roast & Top Gun 2016 will be on the website soon and in next months’ edition of the Skywriter.
