Field Trip – Customs Border Protection Air Unit Operations Center!
Skymasters we have a great opportunity thanks to our beloved (now retired) Federal Air Interdiction Agent, AKA, the Blackhawk pilot known to show up at our field a few times, Ted Labbe. And, its coming up soon!
Saturday April 29, 10:00 a.m. meet at the Selfridge ANG Base, North Gate Visitors Center, (main gate) at the end of M-59 and Ted will get us all clearance to head on into the CBP Air Unit Operations Center and we will get to tour their Northern Border Command Center, see their maintenance works and hangers where all the cool aircraft are stored. We’ll see Ted’s Blackhawk, (hope it’s there) he said there’s some new aircraft outfitted with some awesome new technology that we’ll get to check out.
I know Ted’s trying to work on some other surprises while were there… as if this isn’t enough. All you have to do is send an email to me: at
president@skymasters.org with your name and the full names of those that you have coming before Friday April 28, 2017. I need to give the names to Ted to get you clearance (ahead of time). Please indicate in your email that it is for the CBP OPS CENTER visit and list your full names of those attending. Families welcome! See you there!
